I first met Mr Phil Heaton on the day of my knee replacement surgery at Grantham District Hospital. Mr Heaton has a lovely manner, seen with all his patients on my ward, softly spoken, to the point, professional, & understanding. I was apprehensive regarding my surgery, but knew it was needed, as my quality of life was now being effected. On arrival to Ward 1 until I left 36 hours later, I felt truly valued as a patient, by all staff members. 8 weeks on, & after seeing Mr Heaton at Boston Fracture Clinic, I was shown a before & after xray of my knee, Mr Heaton explained I had been left far too long, with my knee in the condition it was in & was pleased with the outcome of my surgery. I left the clinic feeling I had made good progress, & will continue for the foreseeable future with the Physiotherapy team. NHS, I cannot praise you enough... Thank you

I had a total hip replacement carried out by Mr Heaton at Grantham Hospital in October 2023. At the initial out patient appointment Mr Heaton explained to me the issues and the treatment recommended and gave me a timescale for surgery. The operation was carried out very successfully. I was seen by Mr Heaton in his outpatient clinic when he clarified any questions I had and showed me the X rays of the new hip. I was extremely satisfied with the professional way I was treated by Mr Heaton and express my thanks to him and the Team at Grantham hospital for their care and kindness.

Had a hip replacement in November ,Did a great job 1st class doctor ,and the follow up appointment I was able to see him for check up , I'm now recovering and will be hopefully having my second hip replacement by Mr Heaton

This doctor was polite, patient, caring and efficient. I only waited six weeks for my hip operation and I have been delighted with the results. I am now out of pain, walking normally and legs are now both the same length again. I would recommend Mr Heaton and Grantham Hospital, where nobody could have been kinder, to anyone.

From pre assessment to the follow up appointment I found this consultant to be excellent. I was listened to and my concerns were addressed. My operation went well and after care at Grantham was excellent.
